About This Spot

Kalbi BBQ unfolds like a lively and inviting neighborhood spot nestled on bustling Saint-Laurent Boulevard. From the moment you step inside, the hum of conversation blends with the subtle clinks of grills in action, setting a vibrant yet approachable tone. It’s the kind of place where the pace feels just right-not hurried, but spirited enough to keep every bite and every moment engaging.

The atmosphere, a warm mix of contemporary energy and casual comfort, invites you to settle in and savor the experience. Unique touches, like a whimsical robot delivering your order, add a playful charm without stealing focus from the shared joy of the meal itself. The space buzzes with friendly gatherings, small groups, and families, all drawn by the promise of fresh, thoughtfully prepared Korean barbecue and sushi.

Eating here becomes a shared ritual: flames crackle beneath thin slices of meat that are juicy and well-marinated, while side dishes arrive aplenty, balancing warmth and freshness in every bite. The menu unfolds naturally alongside laughter and conversation-crispy sweet buns as a delicate finish, the occasional splash of sake, or the comforting embrace of miso soup. There’s an honest generosity to the servings and an ease in how the food comes together on the table, encouraging diners to explore and enjoy at their own rhythm.

Kalbi BBQ is more than just a meal; it’s a space where the simple act of cooking and sharing food feels joyful and unpretentious. It’s a corner of Montréal where good company, approachable flavors, and a touch of unexpected fun create moments that linger long after the grill is dimmed.

I went during their lunch hours, mostly ordered chicken and beef which were tasty but the beef was extremely thinly sliced but juicy atleast so order alot! They have alot of side dish and sushi options! A cute robot cat comes to give you the stuff you order You are limited to only 2 hours, so make sure you dont go over! Would've given a 5 stars if they haven't intentionally put a tip on my friend's bill. Regardless, the staff were quite nice and explained to us how everything works. During lunch hours on a weekday, it was 31.99$.

This place was great. Great service, great food. Meet was fresh and great marinade. The basa fillet and sweet potato tempura were my faves. Lots of options and it was all good. My nephew's loved the fried calamari and fried scallops. We had the sweet buns as dessert and they were crispy outside fluffy inside. Yummm. We did not order any sushi but what we saw people getting looked divine and good portions, and the fish food so fresh. To address the negative comments I have seen said: NO a tip was not added to my bill by the staff automatically. Price was for those saying expensive, it is all you can eat meat, veggies, sides, seafood and sushi. It was 44 per adult and 28 per kid. Only a few items you paid extra for like 2 of the desserts. Also as for portion, I found them perfect. Small yes, but if you want more then when ordering instead of doing 1 portion do 2 or 3.

We came here for an event with a group of friends and had a great experience. Even though our reservation was for 6 people and we ended up being 8, the staff still accommodated us without any hassle - really appreciated their flexibility. The food was delicious and definitely good bang for the buck. Portions were generous, and everything came out fresh and flavorful. Overall, a great spot for group gatherings. Would absolutely come back!

First time at a Korean BBQ place. Food was delicious. Got right in around 1:30 pm without a reservation. You order via a QR code and a cute kitty robot brings it to you! Loved everything but the loud rap. It was unfortunately not censored so you might not want to bring children here. There is a large, steep flight of steps to enter the restaurant, so be aware of that. Not a problem for us. Not sure if they have an elevator. Pricing was good, $34 per person for all you can eat with a 2 hour table time.
